In 2021, our Club entered a new era with the Club for Life vision, brought to life through OM+, connecting Old Boys with each other like never before. It's time we took the next step together.
The School's Generational Plan asks us to build what it calls follow-on infrastructure, so a Michaelhouse education keeps delivering value through mentorship, network and opportunity long after a boy walks out the gate. That's the why behind the Club for Life Voluntary Contribution: a completely voluntary gift, given monthly or annually, supporting our Impact Fund, that lets us show up for each other, quietly and reliably, for generations to come.
What this builds
Direct Support, Now and in the Future
Quietly supporting Old Boys who need it, through programmes such as holiday work placements, the new A Block and post-tertiary mentorship programmes, work exposure and job opportunities, career guidance, and practical assistance during a difficult stretch. This is where the Club’s Follow-on Infrastructure (FOI) role sits: bridging the gap between a boy leaving Michaelhouse and becoming a self-sustaining, contributing member of society. As this support grows, we aim to give every leaver a more structured start into the network and deepen what we offer over time.
Connection: Strengthening the Old Boy Network
Strengthening the network between Old Boys through OM+, alongside the technology and data infrastructure now being built to keep the community genuinely connected as it grows. Making this network a working asset for every Old Boy, not only at school, but throughout their lives, is a continuing focus, and we are actively exploring new ways to deepen and refine it over time.
Capability and Delivery
Giving the Club the people, systems and technology it needs to actually deliver on what we’re promising, not simply funding salaries and overheads. This means a small, professional OBC operations team supporting our alumni, volunteers, and the many stakeholders, inside and outside the school, who keep the Club, its commercial enterprises, and events running, while investing in the infrastructure required to operate efficiently and continue to grow.
