Supporting the philosophy of the School being the boys home away from home, is the practice of a less formal and individual daily "on Campus" uniform. An open-neck, short sleeve navy blue golf shirt is worn with khaki golf shorts and health sandals. During the winter, the shorts are replaced by charcoal longs, grey socks and closed shoes. School grey polo-neck or V-necked jerseys may also be worn with this uniform together with navy blue wool coats.

Prefects wear white golf shirts with blue sleeves which are monogrammed with the Prefect crest.

The formal Number 1 uniform is worn at all official functions and when leaving or arriving at School. It consists of a white long sleeve shirt worn with the red and white tie, or alternative official school ties. Charcoal longs, grey socks, black shoes and the navy blue school blazer complete the uniform. The official Michaelhouse badge may be replaced with the Prefect or Honours badge as awarded.

Sport clothing in general is discipline specific, with consistency in practice wear.

Casual clothing may be worn on the weekends.
