The Music School, located in the Marshall Campbell building, consists of a Band Room, Technology Room, Library, Recording Room with Live Room, as well as housing the various Practise Rooms and teaching Classroom.
Instruments on offer:
Tuition in a variety of instruments is offered by enthusiastic, well-trained and highly competent Staff. These instruments are: Voice, Piano, Flute, Bass Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Folk Guitar, Cello, Drumkit, Saxophone, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, Violin, Chapel Organ and Music Theory.

Syllabus:
The Arts and Culture Programme is taught to all boys in E and D Blocks (Grades 8 and 9). This takes the form of a team-teaching lesson.
From C Block (Grade 10) students may choose to study Music as a full Academic Subject for Matric.
Ensembles:
These Bands form an integral part of the Music School and musical life at Michaelhouse. Social bands are encouraged and may practise under teacher supervision during the evenings in the Music School.
Currently the following ensembles are active: Chapel Choir, Chamber Choir, Jazz Band, Marimba Band, Guitar Ensemble and Rock Band.

Performances:
Various concerts and recitals take place during the year showcasing these ensembles and musical talents within the school: @bandroom.live, Tea at Michaelhouse, Choir Festival, "Stars" Variety performance.
